Most retreats in Bali end up in a resort, sharing the pool and the restaurant with strangers, or split across rooms that never feel like one group. At the MAR Bali Estate your group has two private villas side by side, with their own team, and nobody else on the property.

There is room to gather and room to be alone: a cinema for talks and workshops, gardens and terraces for morning practice, a sauna and cold plunge for recovery, and long tables for eating together.

MAR Bali is a quiet, residential estate. Retreats, offsites and private celebrations are welcome with prior approval; parties with amplified music are not permitted.

Planning a retreat.

How many guests can the estate host?

MAR Bali 1 and MAR Bali 2 together have 11 bedrooms for up to 22 guests. For larger groups, River Paradise, five minutes away, adds 9 bedrooms for up to 18 more guests, for up to 40 in total.

Is the estate private?

Yes. When you book the estate, both villas, both pools, the sauna, the cold plunge and the cinema are used only by your group.

Is there a space for workshops or yoga?

The private cinema at MAR Bali 2 works as a room for workshops, talks and presentations. For group yoga or pilates, we book a studio a few minutes away in Pererenan; private and small-group sessions can be held at the villa. Tell us your programme and we will plan it with you.

How far ahead should we book?

Most retreats book four to twelve months ahead, especially for July, August and the festive season. Send us your preferred dates and we will check them straight away.

Can you arrange meals and transfers?

Yes. Daily breakfast and airport pickup are included. A private chef for every meal, in-villa massages, a van with driver and helicopter transfers can be added. See our guide to the best spas around Pererenan for more recovery options.
